The Badalona Museum offers tours and routes to see the city’s archaeological and historic heritage, which ranges from the ancient Iberian settlement of Turó d’en Boscà (located in the central city) and numerous vestiges from Roman times, to the most emblematic buildings of the Modernista and industrialization periods, like the Anís del Mono factory. The exciting new 3,400 sq.m. space devoted to the ancient town of Baetulo is of special interest. Here you can follow various routes and see the permanent exhibition “Baetulo, a Roman City” on the path crossing the archaeological site beneath the Museum. The tour begins at the thermae or baths, from the late 1st c. BCE, where you can still see all the rooms once forming this facility: the palestra, the frigidarium, the tepidarium and the caldarium. Next, continue the tour under the modern-day square called Plaça de Font i Cussó, in what was the area around the Roman Baetulo’s forum.
