“Es la verde Helvecia, bajo el cielo de Calabria, en la solemnidad y el silencio de Oriente”. Con esta frase sintetizó George Sand el paisaje de Mallorca en el invierno de 1838. Un siglo y medio más tarde, el boom turístico atraería hacia la isla a millones de turistas. En las imágenes de Natasha Lebedeva, el invierno es una colección romántica, una demostración técnica de color, composición y perspectiva, que capta la belleza de una naturaleza cargada de pequeños milagros donde el silencio y la calma son valiosos.


Natasha Lebedeva
(Saint Petersburg, Russia, 1975).  She began her artistic training in Saint Petersburg and later studied at the Arts and Crafts School of Madrid. She then moved to Mallorca on a scholarship from the Fundación Pilar y Joan Miró. She now lives on the island, where she has created a visual arts language that has given rise to exhibitions such as Elogio de la carne (2006), Nu (2007), Ubicaciones (2008, Honourable Mention at the International Photography Awards, Los Angeles) and Dreams under construction (2010). Exhibitions where she analyses post-modern visual culture by confronting concepts such as identity, disappearance or transgression.
