Ever since the beginning of the 19th century, Mallorca has attracted artists from all over the world, drawn by a beautiful geography which acquires pictorial nuances when bathed in the sunlight.

No wonder that artists like Santiago Rusiñol, Anglada Camarasa or Joaquín Sorolla came to Mallorca to allow its light to impregnate their work. The island’s sky maintains an electric blue tone throughout nearly the whole year. Every sunset unfurls a unique combination of colours that is often reflected in the sea, duplicating its beauty. And whilst the beauty remains, the light transforms its appearance, determined to remind us that the moment is fleeting, that the best moment is now.

Britta Espey
Britta Espey (Hattingen, Germany, 1971) lives near Düsseldorf with her husband and her fifteen-year-old daughter Emely. Some time ago she acquired a house in Mallorca, where she discovered her love of photography. Her images capture unique moments of light in different places around the island, which she shares with her numerous followers with the sincere desire to make them smile or dream.
