This municipality is a pioneer of tourism on the island, and as a result has had tourist resorts for decades which are famous the world over, and which grew up around the sandy beaches. Today they are connected by the Passeig de Calvià, a32-kilometre pedestrian promenade that communicates Portals Nous, Palmanova, Magaluf, Santa Ponça and Peguera. Enclaves people of all ages choose every year to enjoy an unforgettable holiday.

Because as well as a transparent, azure sea, Calvià has it all. The marinas of Puerto Portals and Port Adriano attract the Mediterranean’s most luxurious yachts, with a select range of bars and restaurants which exude a glamorous atmosphere in summer. Those who prefer quiet places will find calm in idyllic coves like Caló de Ses Llises. And active tourism enthusiasts have golf courses, like Club de Golf de Bendinat, and installations for practising cricket, tennis, rugby, paddle tennis, athletics and water sports, amongst other options.

Hikers can enter the Galatzó public estate, which is traversed by paths dotted with ancient charcoal-burning pits and lime kilns, whilst touring cyclists will find an extensive network of paths and B roads where they can practise their favourite sport.
