Calvià’ municipality combines the beauty of mountain scenery with that of the sea, and several tourist resorts offering all kinds of services have sprung up along the extensive coastline. Some of them are along the bay of Palma –Illetes, Portals Nous, Palmanova and Magaluf–, and others along the coast of Ponent (the west of the island), like Santa Ponça and Peguera.

Several signposted routes run through the Finca pública des Galatzó public estate, allowing one to contemplate ethnological elements, such as old charcoal pits. At the foot of Es Galatzó, an omnipresent mountain surrounded by legends of the Comte Mal, lie the quiet villages of Calvià and Es Capdellà, excellent places for trying traditional Mallorcan cuisine.

Bicycle tourists will also find trails and quiet B-roads where they can practise their sport in safety, enjoying the beauty of pine groves that alternate with crop fields. And anyone travelling with children will discover a host of leisure options in Calvià, with theme parks like Katmandú Park, Karting Magaluf, vertiginous slides at the pools of Western Park, the acrobatics show of Piratas Aventura or the dolphin centre, Marineland.
