It’s possible to get away from the bustle of the city without even leaving Barcelona. Just minutes away from Passeig de Gràcia lies the Turó Park area, a microcosm of calm where time seems to pass more slowly and where every walk reveals something new. If you add to this the fact that it’s one of the city’s chicest areas, full of exclusive shops and hidden tresures, you can see why this is the ideal place to indulge a day of “slow shopping”.
The district is named after the beautiful Turó Park standing on almost 3 hectares at the end of Avinguda de Pau Casals. Its woods, gardens and pond are not to be missed. In the area around the park, visitors will find Spanish and international design boutiques that inspire no few fashion bloggers and are a true delight for luxury lifestyle connoisseurs.
If you’re looking for a jewel, a fashionable garment, a special piece of furniture or a decorative object, this is the place to find it: Turó has all the city’s best. Likewise, if you want a relaxed breakfast on a terrace to enjoy the city’s sunny weather, as usual at Barcelona, this is the right place too. From a mere coffee to the most refined cuisine, Turó has everything, with the peace and quiet needed to savour Barcelona’s best tastes.

Santa Teresa School This school building was designed in part by Antoni Gaudí and has an austere beauty endowed with unquestionable personality. Built with facing bricks, it is crowned by a row of false merlons and on the corners it has pinnacles topped by four-armed crosses. The interior features parabolic arches and the lighting is very well conceived, producing alternate lights and shadows that are quite appropriate for a building with educational and religious functions. It may be visited at weekends by prior appointment.
Inside the Park Designed by the celebrated landscape architect Nicolau Rubió i Tudurí, Turó Park opened in 1934. It is a very elegant, sheltered and inviting place shaded by little woods, with ivy parterres, winding paths and beautifully
landscaped corners. The picturesque pond, which forms one of the central areas of the park, is covered with water lilies and is full of goldfish and turtles. In addition to the children’s area, there is a kiosk bar with a very pleasant terrace. Ever since it was built, this has been one of Barcelona’s most emblematic parks.
