Casa Amatller
Barcelona
Descripción Datos de contacto

It is a beautiful building (1890-1900) with Gothic touches that was commissioned to Puig i Cadafalch by the Amatllers, one of the most affluent families of the old Catalan bourgeoisie, engaged in the manufacture of chocolate. The façade is an exceptional example of the application of the decorative arts to architecture. It presents a harmonious blend of sgraffiti work, ceramics with reliefs and metallic reflections, stone and wood sculpture, stained-glass windows and wrought-iron balconies.
