Teatro Real
Madrid
Descripción Datos de contacto

The Teatro Real, or Royal Theatre, has taken its place as Spain’s foremost National Opera and as a leading opera venue worldwide. Its artistic programme of operas features each season both traditional and contemporary works. The Teatro Real also offers an extensive programme of outstanding recitals and concerts with the greatest opera voices of our times, in addition to major dance productions with the world’s most prestigious ballets and dance companies. As one sees it today, the Teatro Real building is the product of several remodellings undertaken over the course of its nearly two hundred years of existence. This emblematic edifice in the heart of the city of Madrid contains some unique spaces. Its impressive stage house, the various rehearsal rooms, the stage, the spacious dressing rooms and the workshops, as well as the large halls recreating the ambience of the opera in the 19th century, which are adorned with valuable works of art, are just a few of the places waiting to be discovered and visited on the four different types of guided tours available here.
