Madrid is the great capital of flamenco even though this art has traditionally been closely linked to Andalusian culture.
In Madrid there are two great temples of flamenco which have hosted all the most celebrated artists: Casa Patas, in the Lavapiés quarter, and Corral de la Morería, in La Latina district. Located in a mid 19th-century building, the Casa Patas nightclub features a varied high-quality programme with performances that change weekly. It may even present two different shows at weekends.
Corral de la Morería, for its part, offers a unique experience every night thanks to the exceptional quality of its performers, its acclaimed culinary offering and its impeccable service. Its celebrated stage has hosted such all-time flamenco greats as Diego el Cigala, José Mercé and Antonio Canales, among many other outstanding figures.
