The capital of the island is home to a great deal of cultural activity, centred in the setting of Can Ventosa and in Dalt Vila in summer.
Classical music, jazz or rock concerts, theatrical performances featuring well-known Spanish actors, musicals, video-art... The programme of shows and performing arts in the town of Eivissa is highly varied and the venue of Can Ventosa, in the centre, is the capital’s main cultural forum.
In summer, music moves to the area around the university and the walled town of Dalt Vila, where musical events take place like Nits de Tànit (opera and singing), the Sueños de Libertad festival (pop rock) or the famous Ibiza Jazz, which is held in September in the bastion of Santa Llúcia and schedules performances by both consecrated figures and new talented performers from the national and local jazz scene.
A dramatized visit to Dalt Vila, on Saturdays at 7 pm (advance registration on the Eivissa town council portal), is a good chance to discover the town in a different way.
