Barcelona’s alternative, transgressive and innovative Swab fair highlights groundbreaking trends in contemporary art.
The start of the art season in the Catalan capital coincides each year with the Swab Barcelona fair, which runs between 01 and 04 October 2020. Created in 2006 as an initiative of the prestigious private collection Contemporary Art Space Diezy7 with the aim to offer Barcelona a comprehensive look at the latest global trends in contemporary art, Swab is now set to hold its thirteenth edition.
Swab Barcelona is an international art fair that brings together galleries, artists, curators and collectors from all around the world to showcase and discuss the latest trends in the international emerging scene. It is a place to discover the most innovative artistic proposals and meet the local and international artists from all disciplines who are pushing the boundaries of expression and tracing the course of the art scene for coming years.
In 2019, Swab Barcelona celebrated its twelfth edition, welcoming around 75 galleries from the 5 continents, close to 15,000 visitors, and a large number of curated programs, prizes, and activities that trascended the fair walls to bring art to the Barcelona citizens.
