Ibiza fascinates people who love partying at night. This is the most famous face in the world of a legendary island of freedom, the heir of flower power and the protest years of the ‘70s, the principles of which have spread with new prisms and resonant ingredients: welcome to the headquarters of the best discotheques, the most renowned DJs, spectacular scenography, celebrities and an atmosphere of electronic music and party-going that is palpable at all hours, especially in the south of the island.

The big discotheques – Amnesia, Pachá, Privilege, Es Paradís, Edén, Swag, Sankeys, Hï, etc. – and other bars and clubs with smaller capacity, attract thousands of people every night in summer, for Ibiza’s tourism industry is largely sustained by the hubbub of young clubbers, whose presence is felt in areas like Platja d’en Bossa and Sant Antoni.

To enter the heat of the Ibizan night, you can explore the streets of the town’s port, where there is a succession of dozens of small bars, shops and restaurants in an ambience of hustle and bustle that intensifies as the night progresses. Another option is the lively Plaza del Parque, next to Paseo de Vara de Rey, which was recently pedestrianised, and near to which is the Teatro Pereyra, where jazz performances are given every night.

If you are in Sant Antoni, after taking in the popular sunset in the Ses Variades area, you will immediately see that the range of music bars, terraces and pubs open in the village streets is incalculable until the early hours, running into the bay of Portmany.

If all this hustle and bustle is not your thing, Santa Eulària, with the busy street of Carrer Sant Vicent, full of bars and restaurants, and its pretty marina, is the perfect village in which to discover the calmer festive pace of the north of the island. In the municipality of Sant Josep you will also find some establishments with high-quality gastronomy and a very lively atmosphere in summer.
