Ibiza’s party atmosphere during the high season begins to be felt in a chillout ambience before sunset, in glamorous beach clubs with a predominantly elitist and international feel to them, and a soundtrack that offers the most relaxed version of electronic music, chillout, deep house and in general ‘ambient’ music.

Over recent years, beach clubs have sprung up all along the coast of Ibiza, as has luxury tourism. The most famous clubs, which even release their own records, are found in particular in Ses Salines – pioneers in turning old beach kiosks into temples of good taste on the beach – Platja d’en Bossa, Cala Jondal and some coves on the coast of Sant Antoni and Santa Eulària.

All of them have splendid menus with Mediterranean, international and vegetarian cuisine, more than comfortable loungers, meticulous décor, good service and vegetation that is generally integrated into the surroundings, which are none other than the chicest beaches of the Mediterranean.

The fashion of beach clubs, which in some cases are new evening discotheques in the open air, is also characterised by their openness and absence of dress code: the latest reinvention of the Ibizan party scene can be enjoyed with family, friends, as a couple, in bikini and flip-flops or sporting Bermuda shorts and a T-shirt, without the demands of the smarter nocturnal look that is mandatory for gaining access to some of the stylish night spots.
