Sant Josep de Sa Talaia

The village of Sant Josep is the core of the island’s most extensive municipality, which is also comprised of the towns of Es Cubells, Sant Agustí, Sant Jordi and Sant Francesc.

Sant Josep has kilometres of beautiful beaches, from Platja d’en Bossa to Sant Antoni, and lies at the foot of Sa Talaia, the tallest mountain on the island, with an altitude of 475 metres, which affords a splendid view from its peak. The main attraction of the village is the Ibizan-style church with white walls. In the village centre, you will find a wide range of services, supermarkets, decoration and fashion.

In summer, the atmosphere at night is very lively and offers a broad range of gastronomy. At night, one can enjoy live open-air concerts. One of the most important events is the patron saint’s festival, around 19th March, when different traditional, cultural and recreational activities are held.

The town council of Sant Josep organises numerous cultural, gastronomy and sporting events over the year, because this municipality is a spectacle at sea, in kayaks, bicycle touring, along hiking routes, in 4x4 or simply meandering along B roads and dirt tracks.
