Barcelona "good enough to eat"

It’s just as appetizing to visit the city as to attend the gastronomy fairs in its most emblematic areas.

In the summer, from 9 to 12 June, stalls are set up on La Rambla for the “Tast a la Rambla” tasting event, in which celebrated chefs present their signature “tapas” to the people. This culinary experience makes it possible to visit, all in one place, some of Barcelona’s most prestigious restaurants, and to taste some excellent local still wines and “cava” sparkling wines.

The “Mercat de Mercats” market gastronomy fair, which is held at the Cathedral Square from 21 to 23 October, presents a wide-ranging selection of the appetizing products sold at the city’s famous market halls, including La Boqueria. Delicious “tapas” made by Barcelona’s great chefs and outstanding wines can be tasted at this event.
